hello Whovians so I'm back, it took the Doctor long enough though...I was already tied to the post...but never mind, today I have a special treat, today I'll be sharing my top ten companions of the Doctor.

#10. K-8 what he was a companion he was the original tin dog.

he had my heart from that first moment, I mean when I was a little kid and saw this wonderful little robot dog I was sold, especially because of the way he said "Affirmative Master." 

#9. Romana

When I first started watching Doctor Who as a little girl, the most common episodes were those in which the Doctor traveled with his fellow Time Lord (who actually followed the rules somewhat) Romanadvoratrelundar or Romana for short, though she said she would have preferred Fred

#8. Sarah Jane Smith

Sarah Jane made it believable that a companion's life goes on after the Doctor, even though it's nowhere near the same as it was before the Doctor came waltzing into your life that is why Sarah Jane is on my list

#7. Martha Jones

Martha was not one of my favorite characters ever, and I'll admit most of that was because she seemed to hold interest in Rose Tyler's Doctor, and I didn't like that, but though she seemed bossy, and shrill Doctor Who would not have been the same if Martha Jones hadn't shown that while traveling with the Doctor may be fun, but that there were downfalls to traveling with the Time Lord such as finding out that the Doctor really does leave destruction in his wake, and if you stand to close. You will get burned. 

#6. Clara Oswald

The impossible girl, I'll admit at first I wasn't keen on Clara, but that was merely my Post Pond Depression and the rumor that she would become the next Rose Tyler, but she is an interesting character, the Impossible Girl has done the impossible, she won my heart after Amelia Pond. So she has also won #6 on my list of Doctor Who companions

#5. Donna Noble

Donna...what can you say about Donna Noble? other than the fact that she was the woman that told the Doctor that he needed to pull his head out of his bum, and see that the universe is bigger than Rose Tyler, She also wasn't afraid to stand up to the Time Lord that had been swooping in and saving the universe for centuries, and had somehow become to big for his own good, she made us see that even though we're humans, we're every much as important as a Time Lord.

#4. Jack Harkness

Yes everybody, I think it was obvious why he's here, The Captain is amazing, and deserves to be here, and no it's not just because on one of our trips me and the Doctor ran into him, and he gave me a smile and said hello, no but it's because he was such an in depth character that from the moment he showed up n the screen he became more and more likable, and he became such a key role in the events of season one, and he won my heart with a dance at Big Ben

#3. Rory Williams

Rory the Roman, we can only hope that there is a man out there for us like that ladies. Because not only is he a romantic, that would wait for his love outside of a box for two thousand years, but he's also someone who would tear apart the universe to protect his wife and child, in all Rory is a bad ass, and deserves more than anyone could possibly ever give him, I love Rory, and he is without question the best male companion of Doctor Who.

#2. Rose Tyler

Rose Tyler, she is the girl that got me hooked, on Doctor Who, she fell in love with a Time Lord. She was an amazing companion that showed you that even a shop girl could travel in the universe, and can save it too. she is the bad wolf, and should be respected.

#1. Amy Pond

The girl who waited to many people seem to think she was a flat character, but I feel she was one of the strongest characters that I've ever seen. she shows you the epitome of the strong female character, she would stand up to the Doctor, and bring forth emotions in Dalek creations. She could remember people who were erased from existance, she would do anything for those she loves, and accept the fact that even though she can't raise her child, she would still love her as much as any mother would, she gave up her entire life on a whim that she could see the man she loved again, and if that's not strength than what is? 

he Star Whale didn't come like a miracle all those years ago. It volunteered. You didn't have to trap it or torture it. That was all just you. It came because it couldn't stand to watch your children cry. What if you were really old and really kind and alone—your whole race dead, no future. What could you do then? My Favorite Doctors and Companions ~ Old Folk's Style

Greetings all from the END of the Universe, I am the Bookworm's Mother and I was a fan of the Doctor long before she was a glimmer in my eye. I've taken control of the blog for the day to share some of my top moments in Doctor Who history... and maybe I will manage to have a nice round number of ten at the end. 

I like the END you see, such a cozy place to stop at a Restaurant and chat with a cow. 

My first Doctor... The Fifth: Peter Davison

I used to get together with a few friends and we would watch the show on PBS. 

We never could figure out why the darned celery was there, and it seems even the BBC couldn't figure out

that concept, but it worked. 

My Favorite Doctor prior to the revitalization of the show - Tom Baker!

You had to love the scarf and that quirky attitude!

My all time favorite Doctor to date -- David Tennant, need I say anything as to why?

On to the Companions... 

Hands down for individual companions, and the ultimate love interest - Rose Tyler.
Without her I honestly believe that the revitalized show would not have caught on as well. 

While she had great chemistry with Christopher Eccleston, Billy Piper matched with David 

Tennant was an explosive combination that shook the foundations for many Whovians!

Best Companions and Favorite though, would be the duo of The Ponds...

Rory & Amy brought a whole new level of character and emotional turmoil to the story. 

I know I fell in love with them both as the story unfolded and miss them. 

Arthur Darvill and Karen Gillan were a spectacular pair. 

One of my favorite characters, and very under utilized, River Song. 

Neither a companion or solid person within the realm, I think she will always remain, 

a marvelous enigma, and Alex Kingston played here with class and sass!

Doctor Who invasion! Top ten Fanfictions

Ah Hello everybody, while going through the Bookworms favorites, I found this neat list of ten stories, and upon further investigation, I discovered something, each of these stories are about some regeneration of me...so I thought I'd share it!

ahmm...but then the Bookworm caught me and got very cross...but she did agree to share it though, under the conditions that she got to write up the rest of the post...

and to be honest a few others, she can be quite persuasive, I knew there was a reason I picked her up.

Hi guys I'm back, and I'm going to be sharing my top ten Fanfictions, and to be honest it was difficult to narrow it down, but I think I did okay...but hey that's not the point is it? So without further ado I give unto you my top ten Fanfictions.

#10. The Companion Games by DMCxWTF
Twenty-four tributes-all who have met the Doctor at least once. Forced to fight to the death. The last one alive gets the pleasure of running off with the Doctor as the Victor. Further from the arena, the Doctor is forced to watch his best friends kill each other-unable to help in anyway possible. The Companion Games. No characters from HG are present. All DW

my feelings on this fanfiction were pretty much what you would expect from a Doctor Who hunger games mash-up, a hell storm of feels, that leave you thinking dear god why did I read this, I think I'm going to cry in this corner here for a while. But hey what good story doesn't, so if you're a hungry whovian read this, you might be sorry, but it'll be the good kind of sorry I think, is getting your feels broken a good kind of sorry?

#9.The Wedding of Rose Marion Tyler by LovelyPrincessUsako
Post Boom Town Pre-Bad Wolf AU Future Verse. During a trip, Doctor, Rose and Jack end up in London 2010 but the trio end up getting the shock of their lives when they end up crashing Rose's WEDDING? Jealousy blazes through Doctor when he sees the groom; a skinny, spikey haired pretty boy with a pinstripe tuxedo! a recipe for complete disaster.

I love this story, it is witty funny, and has just enough to make you cling to the edge of your seat begging for more, which is my kind of story, in fact it's the best Rose Tyler wedding story I've come across to this date, so I recommend you read this one if you like a little fluff and jealousy with your adventures

#8.Angels, Wolves and the Doctor by Binary 9
There's a box, in a museum, inscribed with two words in High Gallifreyian, the lost language of the Time Lords. The Doctor and Amy find this box, and the Doctor reads two words he never wanted to hear again

this story is an awesome rewrite of season five, from the the Time of Angels on, just with Rose Tyler instead of River Song, while I love River, Rose and Amy, are the dream compilation of companions, the one that Moffat made sure never happened, so I ate this up, and wanted more when it was finished.

#7.What If by Doctorwholuver1234
What if someone else had been invited to watch the Doctor die? How will they react? Who are they?

I love this one too, I know starting to sound like a broken record, but hey when it's true it's true. this one was fast paced and fun, while it had it's notes of sadness and fear like Doctor Who does, I felt it captures the show perfectly.

#6.I'm Here Now by Wings of Indigo
 AU S3-Rose had lost him. But she still had something that kept her fighting. Their child-the daughter he didn't know of. After fourteen years in a parallel world, Rose finally made it home to exactly when she left. Two years later, Evy is half Time Lord, and genius. But she was alone- until the day she stumbled upon a blue phone box and into a whole new world of trouble.

This one actually inspired me to share my own story. it is a beautiful story, about a girl meeting the father she never met, that is if the father you never met was a 900 year old Time Lord, that has no idea who you are, and you refuse to tell him, oh and add in the fact that your mother was looking for him, for 16 years, and you have I'm here now, but then what else would you expect from Doctor Who?

#5.War Of the Guardians by TimeLordPrime
The destruction of the Time Lords has left a hole in the natural order of things and it must be filled. The Guardians of Time have decided that they will recreate a new group of Time Lords to control time once more. It's up to the new Whit Guardian to make sure that things are done right. Who is she though? Why does the Doctor find her so familiar? is she friend or foe?

okay haven't actually finished this one yet, but I still love it where I am in the story, I really don't know what to say to sum up this story

#4.The Dead Reunited by Caskett 54
Rose Tyler has managed to break through into her home universe - a year in advance. But when she begins searching for the Doctor, she finds someone else instead. Someone she wasn't expecting to see.

haha! a reunion fic that I wish was how it really happened, but alas it is not.

#3.The Blonde Girl by Lumendea
All it took to change the universe was one little alteration to the time line of Rose Tyler when she was eleven years old. while an alien hunts and preys on children Rose meets a remarkable man called the Doctor. Suddenly her childhood is full of adventures, aliens and lots of running that will change the course of her life. First in the guardians of the universe series.

great story that is totally original, I don't think I ever read one that followed these lines, I'm still working my way through the series and I absolutely love it, and god I think I might go and read some more right now...

#2. Endlessly by Lady Ten
"Rose..." When the Doctor's voice begins calling to Rose again she immediately runs to Bad Wolf Bay, to escape her reality, to her Doctor after fighting every single day to escape the dimension she is now trapped in. however, things are not what the seem. Takes place around The Sound of Drums and The Last of the Time Lords. The Master has been busy..

The Master Rose and the Doctor must I say more? I was on the edge of my seat the moment I started, and felt fear, pain, and sadness.

Touched by an Angel, Amy Pond was certain that her life with the Doctor was over. But when she wakes up in the basement of Hendrix's debarment store, which has been overrun by walking shop dummies, she starts to understand that her life might not be as linear as she thought. And where exactly is Rory?

Oh if only this was how it went, well not with Rory being missing...I absolutely love this one, and am waiting very anxious for the next chapter please hurry Ash, I must know!
