                                                         Scott westerfeld

About the book

Prince Aleksander, would-be heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne, is on the run. His own people have turned on him. His title is worthless. All he has is a battleworn war machine and a loyal crew of men.

Deryn Sharp is a commoner, disguised as a boy in the British Air Service. She’s a brilliant airman. But her secret is in constant danger of being discovered.

With World War I brewing, Alek and Deryn’s paths cross in the most unexpected ways, taking them on a fantastical, around-the-world adventure that will change both their lives forever.

The review

Leviathan is a look into what world war 1 had steam punk  war machines and fabricated creatures it was an amazing story that created its own version of Europe that leaves you wondering  what if the world was truly like this how would we have fared. I loved this story it had almost everything that I look for in a good steam punk story. Scott Westerfeld had great idea when he wrote this book he took a dark time in history and he made it magical and mystifying story that had me wanting more.
